He was predeceased by: his parents, Erdie Nickerson and Ruth Nickerson; his former wife Mayola; his grandson Shane; and his son-in-law Roger Crowell.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Libby, Judy, Brian, Gayle and Cora; his stepchildren, Howard, Ginger, Louanne and Jonathan; and his siblings, Frank, Roddy, Ronnie and Sharon.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Doctor's Cove Cemetery.
