It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Nixon Carruthers of Shelburne, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard Nixon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Carruthers and Edward Carruthers; and his sister Evelyn Courte. He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Dubois; his stepdaughters, Emma Dubois and Elizabeth Dubois (Nora Khaddaj); and his sisters, Lisa Carruthers and Janet Vaal-Henke.
