It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thadee Joseph Cottreau (Shelburne, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Elizabeth Cottreau; his parents, William Cottreau and Margaret Cottreau (O'Donnell); and his brothers, Bobby, Edwin, Jean, Ulysses and Billy.
He is survived by: his children, Krista Cottreau (Jamie), Byron Cottreau (Vanessa) and Allison Cottreau (Vanessa); his grandchildren, Chelsey Belliveau (Donald), Lindsey Wilson (Gary), Braidey Spinney, Gabrielle Cottreau, Damien Cottreau and Aiden Cottreau; his great grandchildren, Sloane, Kennedy Belliveau and Winnie Wilson; and his sister Marie Cottreau.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (725 Melbourne Rd., Melbourne, NS B0W1M0).
