She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lawson and Jessie Lawson (McKeen); and her granddaughter MacKenzie. She is survived by: her sons, Daniel (Tammy) of Sudbury, ON, Travis (Aryn) of Marathon, ON, Troy and Milford; her grandchildren, Kennedy, Avery, Irelynn and Georgia; her great grandchildren, Finn, Memphis and Brantley; her siblings, Archie Lawson (Judy), Robert Lawson (Esther), Bill Lawson (Erika), Ann Asselin, Muriel Lawson and Sally Cunningham (Jamie); and her former husband Gordon Rooney. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
