He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Smith (Steeves) and Raymond Smith (Branden). He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Kendall (Vickie), Jason (Emilie) and Kelli (Tommy); and his grandchildren, Jenna, Brooklyne, Hunter, Alyssa, Liam, Jayda, Carter, Ella, Aubree and Selina. He is also survived by his partner, best friend, and the love of his life for nearly 54 years.

In his memory, donations may be made to the Lions Club International or Alzheimer Society of Canada.
