Joe MacDonald Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe MacDonald of Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 14, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Clement Sr. and Mary Jane MacDonald Joe (MacGillivary); his sister Margaret Watkins; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Flynn, John Wells, Mary MacDonald and Rose Dewolfe.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa (Wells); his children, Diana and Rob (Tiffany); his grandson Dane; his stepgrandsons, Nick and Alex; his siblings, Nancy Flynn and Ronnie (Joanne); and his brother-in-law Bob Watkins. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ettinger Funeral Home (2812 NS-2, Shubenacadie, NS B0N2H0). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:40 AM at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church (11645 Hwy 224, Upper Musquodoboit, NS B0N1X0).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joe may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
