He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Vivian Nelson (Campbell); and his siblings, Gerald, Otis, Seward, Albert, Millie and Linda.
He is survived by: his father Sydney Blackburn Nelson; his children, Janie (Adam Isenor) and Gary Nelson; his grandsons, Austin, Trenton, Gage, Rhys and Ewan; and his siblings, Marion Schofield, Sylvia Fisher, Cora Weir and Darrell.
