He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCabe and Florence McCabe (Quinn) of South Bar; his brothers, Derek and Brian; his parent-in-law Buddy; his sister-in-law Georgina; his father-in-law Tommy Tighe; his nephew Jason; and his sister-in-law Judith Anne Tighe.

He is survived by: his brother Dana; his wife Cheryl Pezzerello Tighe; his children, Carmen MacKenzie (Betty) and Renee MacKenzie (Bruce); his siblings, Gary (Shirley), Shaun (Bev), Tom (Anita), Heather, Denyse, Wendy (Stan), Janine (John) and Leanne (Wes); his grandchildren, Kyle MacKenzie, Ally McKenzie, Katelin MacKenzie and Alan Tighe; his siblings-in-law, Carmen, Derek (Valerie), Eddie (Amanda), Joyce (Rick), Debbie (Catherine), Alma (Ray), Darlene (Robert), Elaine (Peter), Audrey (Ron), Wendy (Brian) and Lorraine (Len); his mother-in-law Polly Tighe; and his niece Alicia Paul. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
