He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" MacNeil; his sister Sandra; and his brother-in-law Bill Jessome. He is survived by: his mother Geraldine MacNeil; his wife Veronica; his daughters, Jaclyn, Jamee and Robbyn; his children-in-law, Jamal Ali, Scott MacKendrick and Jake Ryan; his close friend Janine Yurczyszyn; his siblings, Rick MacNeil (Som Hathairat), Susan Lavery (Pat) and Sheila Jessome; and his in-laws, Rod and Charlotte MacIntrye. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home (635 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2Y4). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Church (162 Church Rd, Little Bras D'or, NS B1Y2Y2).
