He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Boyce and Catherine Boyce (Harroun); his wife Hazel "Joyce" Fife; and his siblings, John "Jack", Joyce, Helen, Patsy Ann and Diana.

He is survived by : his close friend Elsie Peterson; his children, Allan Boyce, Pat Boyce (Liz), Grant Boyce (Jennifer), Joy Boyce (Kirk Yanofsky), Wade Peterson (Paula), Trevor Peterson (Debbie) and Kolbec; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Travis Boyce, Erika Hunter-O'Dette (Nic), Taylor Peterson, Paige, Fife Yanofsky, Will and Charlotte Peterson; his great grandchild Finn O'dette; and his siblings, Harold, Robert, Linda and Bonnie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
