We are sad to announce that on July 7, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Laurena Evelyn Louise Ashe of Springhill, Nova Scotia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Gabriel and Eva Gabriel (Izzard); her husband Irvin Winthrop Ashe; her stepdaughters, Roslyn Ernst (late Ronnie) and Heather Gardener (late Ron); her son-in-law Eric Lockhart; her grandson Jamal Ashe; and her siblings, Ensley, Roland, James, Doug, Cliff, Russell, Sidney, Rachel, Louise and Ida.
She is survived by: her children, Corrine Lockhart, Raymond Ashe (Monique Boudreau), Blaine Ashe, Pictou Landing, Rickey Ashe (Gail), Shelley Ashe, Wendy Ashe (Tim Gallagher) and Dale Ashe (Linda); her grandchild Raven Mullings; her child Truemanville; her sisters, Arvilla Anderson and Hilda Pye; and also Dorothy Atkinson (Vaughn). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, many great and several great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. H. Brown Funeral Home (5 McFarlane St, Springhill, NS B0M1X0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at the Hillside Cemetery.
