He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gabriel and Edith Gabriel (Leggett); and his siblings, Elmore, Lawson, Donna, Prema, Bessie, Eleanor, Geraldine, Roxanna, Kathleen and Norma.
He is survived by: his wife Ronia Winters; his children, Ricky (Connie), Patty (Chris Towler) and Paula (Carl McIsaac); his grandchildren, Margaret, Dawn-Marie, Christopher, Tiffany, Jolene, Sarah of Donald and Matthew; and his sisters, Louise and Wyonetta. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
