He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Weir and Wilda Weir; and his wife Georgina May (Ross). He is survived by: his siblings, Mildred McKarney of New Glasgow, Walter Weir of Charlottetown and Andrew Weir (Shirley) of Enfield; and his close friend Hazel Chickness. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
