He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Heighton and Virginia Heighton; and his son Cody Heighton. He is survived by: his wife Darbe; his children, Joseph (Kate), Stephanie (Zach), Vanessa, Brittany and Jordan (Shelby); his grandchildren, Kirsten, Evie, Darrell, Kade, Claire, Jaden, Avery and Abigail; his stepgrandchildren, Jesse, Chase and Cara; and his siblings, Lorraine, Carol (Wade), Sharon, Michelle, Heather (Darren), Darrell (Terri) and Wayne (Cher). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel (18 Acadia Ave, Stellarton, NS B0K1S0). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church (112 N Foord St, New Glasgow, NS B2H5G7).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pictou County.
