He was predeceased by : his parents, Cliff Aitken and Catherine Aitken (Burke); and his siblings, Nancy, Marilyn and Clifford.
He is survived by : his wife Eleanor (Harrington); his daughter Catheraine Shaw (Errol); his grandchildren, Alisha Mota (Chris) of Ottawa, Shayla Donnelly (Chris) of Ottawa, Denika Aitkens of Ottawa and Trae Shaw of Ottawa; his great grandchildren, Noah, Trinity, Savannah and Kaidyn; and his siblings, Marion Oliver (Robert), Cindy (Jack), Luanne Schick (Martin) and Smudgie Rogers (Deborah). He is also survived by his extended family members and nieces and nephews.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
