He was predeceased by: his parents, John Felix and Agnes Bernadette O'Donnell (Hurley); and his siblings, Pat, Jackie, Sterling and Jean.

He is survived by: his wife Lillian "Irene" (Lochead); his sons, Jardine Hayman (Marlene), Barry Hayman (Cathy) and Joseph O'Donnell (Alanna); his grandchildren, TJ, Joseph, Samantha, Tommy, Cory, Danielle and Elaine; and his sister Bridget (William). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel (18 Acadia Ave, Stellarton, NS B0K1S0). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
