He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Angus and Eva Margaret Hartling (Hartlin); his son Roger David Hartling; his granddaughter Liberty; and his brothers-in-law, Louis and George.

He is survived by : his wife Susan Wendy (Stevens); his children, Elizabeth A. Hartling and Steven Hartling (Crystal); his grandchildren, Cole, Athena, Daya, Gyland, Runik and Nirian; his siblings, Verna Gillis, Ruby Billard and James Hartling (Ruth); and his nieces and nephews, Crystal, Juanita, Melody, Shelley, Allison, Russell and Jamie.

If desired, donations may be made in memory to Marshall to his family.
