He is survived by: his parents, Alex MacInnis and Patricia MacInnis (Mackintosh); his siblings, Bruce (Glynis), Shannon (Kim), Kelli (Greg Lannon) and Kimberly (Mark Stanley); his siblings' children, Joshua Lannon, Brett Stanley, Hilary MacInnis, Marlon MacInnis, Jacob Lannon, Justin Lannon, Madison Stanley, Steve MacInnis, Amber MacInnis, Nick MacInnis and Reese Stanley; his extended family Especially; and his cousin Bruce Mackintosh. He is also survived by uncle.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel (18 Acadia Ave, Stellarton, NS B0K1S0). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church (112 N Foord St, New Glasgow, NS B2H5G8).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society, or a local hospital dialysis department in Matthew's memory.
