He was predeceased by : his parents, James Turnbull and Martha Turnbull (Foster); and his siblings, Elsie Esling, James Turnbull (Jim), John Turnbull, Doug Turnbull (Slug), Harold Turnbull and Dennis Turnbull.

He is survived by : his wife Eileen Turnbull (Beckwith); his children, Teresa Pitts (Dave), Debbie d'Entremont (Andre) and Andy Turnbull; his grandsons, Austin d'Entremont, Christopher Pitts and Jacob Pitts; and his siblings, Raymond Turnbull (Leona), Mary Moore and Marjorie Jewell.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel (18 Acadia Ave, Stellarton, NS B0K0A2). A prayer was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel (18 Acadia Ave, Stellarton, NS B0K0A2).
