He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Laffin and Jean Laffin (Johnstone); his sister Bonnie Ross; and his brothers-in-law, Alex Ellis and Garnet Dickie.
He is survived by: his wife Joan (Miller); his children, Peggy and Todd (Amy); his grandchildren, Joel Hines (Renée), Devon (Vanessa) and Keilidh; his siblings, Frances Ellis, Heather Beaulieu (Ed), Colin and Ronald Laffin (Kathy); his brother-in-law Walter Ross; Darlene. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
