He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Brenton and Audrey Brenton (Carter); his brothers, Malcolm and Robert (Bob); his son Mark William; his brother-in-law Barry Baker; and his niece Tracy Brenton.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Greyson; his siblings, Gwen Baker (Barry) and Lee Brenton (Shirley); his children, Carolyn Higgins (Derrick), Kelly Brenton (Margie), Jo-Ellen Strickland (John), Wendy Brenton and Jennifer Plunkett (Jay); his grandchildren, Amie, DJ, Santana, Megan, Laura, Michael, Katelyn and Brianna; and his nibling Carter.
Dad's final act of generosity was to donate his body to Dalhousie University for medical study.
