It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Nita Ross (Stoney Island, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 94, on January 22, 2019. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Warren Brown and Violet Brown (Wilson); her children, Olive Anderson (Frank), Ward (Georgia), Barbara Lowe (Kenneth), Nelson (Patricia), Howard (Laura), Rosemary, Adelbert, MacKinnon and Darlene Stewart (Charles "Scottie"); her children-in-law, Lockland Nickerson and Barbara Ross; her sister Jeanette Clothier (James); her brother-in-law Sylvester Atkinson; her husband Valphy; her children, Diana Nickerson and Eric; her siblings, Warren, Harvey, Lila Quinlan and Marjorie Atkinson; and her stepfather Donald Reed. She was also cherished by nineteen grandchildren, twenty – nine great-grandchildren, four great - great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Stoney Island Baptist Church or charity of choice.
