He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Ross and Flora Ross (Atkinson); his wife Muriel Ross; his stepson Sherman; and his siblings, Malcolm Ross, Randal Ross and Avangline Atwood.

He is survived by: his stepsons, Terry Dixon (Alison) and Brian Dixon (Mary); his stepgrandchildren, Ryan, Geri-Lynn, Derrick, Sherman Jr., Troy, Travis and Denise; and his siblings, Helen Blades, Jean Kootnans and Allen Ross of Ontario. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
