It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Hovell (Summerville, Nova Scotia), born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 14, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Hovell and Eileen Hovell (Keating); his former life partner Colleen Hovell (Atwell); his son Michael; and his grandson Shawn.

He is survived by : his pet Mimi; his friends, Gene Hill and Brian Taylor; his wife Christine (Oliver); his daughter Tanya Hovell (Joel Nedeau); his granddaughter Hannah; his brother John (Peggy); and his stepchildren, Samantha and Toni-ann Sanford. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
