He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Rideout. He is survived by: his father Clarence Rideout; his siblings, Kevin and Darlene; his brothers-in-law, Jim Hardy and Steve Wells; his wife Denise Rideout; his daughters, Myranda Martell (John) and Autumn Rideout; his grandchildren, Kendall, Henley and Kora Martell; his siblings, Brian (Nancy), Carol Sullivan (Bert), Debbie Hardy and Ruth Ann Wells; his parents-in-law, Neil and Gordena MacLeod; his brother-in-law Neil Macleod (Melyssa); and his close friend John Hastie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home (635 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2Y4). A celebration of life was held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sydney Mines Fire Hall (8 Elliot St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V3G1). A reception was held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
