He was predeceased by: his father Peter Hopkins; and his siblings, Doug Hopkins (Frances) and Wanda MacNeil (Lewis). He is survived by: his parent Pat Hopkins; his wife Debbie Hopkins (Martell); his sons, Matthew and Nick; his siblings, Brent Hopkins, Carol Confiant (Farrell), Arlene Smith (Jimmy), Bruce Hopkins (Hilary) and Wayne Hopkins (Lisa); and his close friends, Darlene Given (Brown), Kevin and Tonya Kelloway.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 142 (50 Hillcrest St, Halifax, NS B3N2X5). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home (635 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2Y4).
