The memory of Florence MacKinnon (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Ingonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 20, 2024 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hayden Roberts and Sadie Roberts (Hardy); her husband George MacKinnon; her son Wayne; her grandson Barry; her grandson-in-law Clayton; and her siblings, Everett, Simon, Elmer, Richard, John, Eliza, Dinah and Doris.

She is survived by: her friend Shirley; her children, Barry, Frank (Nancy), Dick (Moira), Bobby (Mia), Doris (Kendall), Gordon (Margie) and Cindy; her grandchildren, Shawn, Sheldon, Julie, Chad, Richard, Becky, Jenna, Mathew, Jessica, Andrew, Olivia and Emily; and her great grandchildren, Bradley, Kylie, Sawyer, Kacey and Larkyn Florence. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ingonish Fire Department or the Canadian Cancer society.
