He was predeceased by: his parents, John James "Johnny" and Jane "Janie" MacNeil; his siblings, Mary Effie Gilliland, James Angus MacNeil "Jim", Paul Bernard MacNeil "Bernie", Murdoch Cleitus MacNeil "Keiths", Michael Theodore MacNeil "Teddy" and John Thomas MacNeil "JT"; and his close friend Vera Gwinn.
He is survived by: his brother Wendel "Winkie" MacNeil. He is also survived by his 12 nieces and nephews.
