It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Stevenson Smith (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert B. Smith and Margaret Anne Smith (MacKay) of Sydney Mines; and her siblings, James, Robert, Peter, John, Tom, Katherine Hebert and Peggy Audoux (Bud Audoux).

She is survived by : her son Tom; her grandsons, Jacob and Alex; her sister Lillian McPhee; her sister-in-law June Smith; her close friend Nancy Smith (Collier); and her husband Florent Richard (Frenchy).
