She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Whalen and Elizabeth Whalen; her sisters, Rena, Anna and Isabel; her husband Scottie; her son John; and her great grandchild Claire.
She is survived by: her children, Lindsay (Kent) and Allan (Kellie); her granddaughters, Katherine (Nick), Kristen (Shawn), Jenna (Mitchel) and Kalin (Ronnie); and her great grandchildren, Samuel, Elyse, Scott, Zach, Bella and Kyla.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home (635 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2Y4). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish (905 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2L9).
