He was predeceased by: his father Edward "Skinny" Forrest; his brother Kenneth "Kenny" Forrest; and his grandparents, Peter, Agnes Forrest, John and Maydell Mills.
He is survived by: his mother Catherine Forrest (Mills); his uncle Donald; his daughters, Marley (Greg) and Lola; his grandchildren, Halle and Dean; his siblings, Wendy of Sydney Mines, Kim of Sydney Mines, Cindy (Fraser) of Sydney Mines, Blair (Nona) of Sydney Mines, Barry (Michelle) of Sydney Mines, Heather (Peter), Brenda (Stacey) of Florence and Keith (Gloria) of Alberta; and his close friend Roxanne Pero. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish (9 MacKay St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V1R5). A reception was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Parish Hall (9 MacKay St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V1R5).
