John Edward MacNeil Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Edward MacNeil (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on June 17, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold MacNeil and Lois MacNeil; his grandparents, Hugh (Dottie) and Mary Elizabeth MacNeil; his uncles, Mike MacNeil and Allan MacNeil (Kay); his aunt Elizabeth Scott (Alex); and his son Richard Vickers.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Vickers; his children, Chris (Sherri), Scott (Kelly), Jason (Corilee), Denise and Ross (Leah); his grandchildren, Shannon (Grant), Karli, Alyssa (Hunter), Breanna, Angus, Leo, Sheena, Tyler and Akira; and his siblings, Ann MacKinnon (Gordie), Margaret Aker, Louise MacNeil and Butch MacNeil (Geraldine). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Cemetery.
