Nellie (Jessome) Carey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie (Jessome) Carey (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Florence, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 20, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Bill Carey; her daughter Joan Hardy; and her siblings, Winnie, Irene, Sis, Harry, Brozie and Stephen.

She is survived by : her children, Darlene Carey (Wayne Walsh), Paul (Michelle) and Wayne (Carol Suhan); her son-in-law Sid Hardy; her grandchildren, Ryan, Jillian MacDougall, Jennifer Green, Jeffrey Hardy, Megan Ronaldson, Danielle, Billy, Lauren and Matthew Carey; her great grandchildren, Rory, Andi, Willson, Hank, Chase, Lyla and Ashton; her siblings, David (Jane), Carl Jessome and Patti Jardine (Gordon); her stepsister Shirley Rendell (John); her cousin Yvonne Bereta; and her sisters-in-law, Eileen Romeo (Angus), Evelyn MacDougall (Johnny), Nora and Helmi Jessome. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Alzheimer's Society, the Northside Harbour View Hospital Foundation or the Northside Community Guest Home Foundation.
