She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Ward and Annie Ward; her husband Sonny MacDonald (Forbes); and her siblings, Les (Mary), Katie (Reg), George (Catherine) and Johnnie.
She is survived by: her sister Evelyn (Lorne); her children, Johnnie, Heather (Paul) and Forbes (Tammy); her grandchildren, Joe (Sam), Erin (Scott), Alexander (Haley), Katherine, Meaghan (Piers) and Ainslie; her great grandchildren, Scout and Teddy; her cousin Barbara Matthews; and her caregiver Alison.
A reception was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Carman United Church (1 Clyde Ave, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2H3).
