He is survived by: his sons, Paul (Aslida) and Tyler (Nicolle); his grandchildren, Aidan, Sienna and Paul; and his siblings, Marlene (Allan), Hector (Rosemary), Jimmy (Connie), Dorothy (Glen), Robert (Florence), Cathy (Kenny) and Allan.

In his final act of generosity, Alex gave the gift of life through organ donation.
