She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Gushue and Mary Gushue (Spurrell); and her stepdaughters, May Horwood and Patricia Hogan. She is survived by: her children, Catherine, Edward, Annette, Loretta, Doreen, Thomas, Philomena, Joseph and Agatha; her sister Aggie; and her children, Bill Temple (Sue), Caroline Green (Kenneth), Ian Temple (Pamela) and Bob Smith (Christine).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home (635 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2Y4). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish.
