It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Collins (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), who passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Ronald leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Ronald may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Mae (MacDonald) and John Willis Collins; his mother-in-law MacPherson; his brother-in-law Andy MacPherson; and his niece Alesha MacLeod.
He is survived by: his wife Linda (MacPherson); and his siblings, Patricia MacLeod, Mary Gracie (Mick) and John Collins. He is also survived by sisters- and brothers-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Beyond his work, he gave back to the community through volunteering with Kiwanis, the Canadian Legion—where he served as president for several years—and as a member of the Northside Hospital Foundation.
