She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Collier and Catherine Tobin; her former husband Valentine Rideout; her husband Albert Aylward; her siblings, John, Charles, Peggy and Milley; her siblings-in-law, Fred, Donald, Clarence Rideout, Margret, Florence and Lorette; her grandson Trevor Rideout; her stepsons, Johnny and Brian Aylward; and her son-in-law Blair MacAulay.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Rideout (Mary), Arther Rideout (Joan), Dianne MacAulay, Donna Hendriksen (Anthony), Gregory Rideout (Sandra) and Ralph Rideout; her stepchildren, Francis, Derrick, Joe Aylward and Wanda MacKey; her brother Dave Collier (Sonny); and her sister-in-law Bernice Rideout. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home (635 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2Y4).
