He was predeceased by: his father Tom Bonar; and his sister Gail. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth "Betty" Bonar (Jessome); his siblings, Brian, Jimmy, Victor, Teddy, Francis and Brenda (Jaimie MacDonald); and his close friend Paula Maxwell. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home (635 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2Y4). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
