With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Francis Maroun (Sydney River, Nova Scotia), born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 30, 2022 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, George Maroun and Mary Maroun (Frampton); his parents-in-law, Franklin "Frank" and Willena "Ena" Hutchins; his brother Michael Maroun; and his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Hutchins and Arthur "Art" Spencer.

He is survived by : his significant other Beverly Maroun (Hutchins); his children, Amber Doncaster (Caleb) and Steven (Megan); his granddaughter Amelia; his brother Louis "Lou" (Kathryn); his sisters-in-law, Lorna Breton, Heather Spencer and Cathy Maroun; his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Mercer (Andrew), Amanda Breton, Derek (Courtney), Kyle (Heidi) and Shaun; and his cousin Father Albert Maroun.

Memorials may be made to the Tom MacNeil Cancer Patient Care Fund at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
