He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Joseph and Noreen MacAdam (Murphy); and his siblings, Noreen MacPhee and Billy Myatt. He is survived by: his wife Janet (MacLeod); his children, Lana MacAdam (Tommy Olson) and Darren John; his siblings, Mary Hatcher (Ronnie), Bedford, Patricia Blanchard, Eileen Bryden (Raymond), Vernon (Pat), Lower Sackville and Frank Sydney; his granddaughter Nicole Paine (Jesse); and his great grandchildren, Mackaela, Felix and Louie.

Memorials may be made to Palliative Care of Cape Breton.
