He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leadbeater and Veronica Leadbeater (MacDougall); his wife Sheila; his son Dean; his siblings, Mary Saraceno, Lucy Copan, Allie, Tucker, Baldy and Sugars Leadbeater; and his in-laws, Mary and Eddie Henry.
He is survived by: his daughter Nadine Leadbeater (Chris Weatherbee); his grandchildren, Connor, Sawyer McLean, Ryder Bessette, Bristol Weatherbee and Emily MacDougall; his siblings, Linda Cusack (Tiger) and Reggie Leadbeater (Trudy); and his sisters-in-law, Sally Young, New Waterford, Edwina Henry-Vardy and Carol Martell (Gordie). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Mt. Carmel Church (3180 Mt Carmel Ave, New Waterford, NS B1H4E4).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton SPCA.
