She was predeceased by: her parents, John Peter MacDonald and Annie Elizabeth MacDonald. She is survived by: her husband Jess; her children, Shannan (Stewart), Dereck and Monica (Cason); her grandchildren, Alexander, Kieran, Kathryn and Devin; and her great grandchild Emmery. She is also survived by Her nieces and nephew, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice Society of Victoria County, Helping Hands South of Smokey Foodbank or the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Centre.
