She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles MacDonald and Beatrice MacDonald (Bonnell); her husband James Roy Young; her parents-in-law, June and Roy Young; her siblings, Johnny, Jim, Joe MacDonald and Marilyn Monahan; and her siblings-in-law, Eddie Mah, John Nunes, Gordan Milligan and Margaret MacDonald (Russell MacKinnon).
She is survived by: her sons, Stephen (Melanie) of Balls Creek and Danny (Amanda) of Balls Creek; her grandchildren, Russ, Stephen, Liam, Keelan, Logan and Brynlee; her siblings, Charlie (Nora), Terry (Valerie), Rob (Geraldine), Donnie (Marylou), Sharon (George), Olive (Blaise), Rita (Martin), Esther (James), Judy (Al), Selina (Kevin) and Margaret (Darryl); her sisters-in-law, Doris MacDonald, Laurie MacDonald and Cora Milligan; and her pet Mitchy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3).
