He was predeceased by: his parents, Allister MacKinnon and Irene MacKinnon. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer MacKinnon of Sydney, CB and John MacKinnon (Jenna) of Dauphin, MB; his grandchildren, Ceilidh McCarron, Samantha McKinnon, Wallace McKinnon and Elena MacKinnon; and his sister Kathy Peters (Michael).
