We are sad to announce that on January 19, 2026, at the age of 87, Delores Evelyn Garland (Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Simm and Eva Simm (Caines); her husband James Garland; and her siblings, Phyllis Browner, William "Billie" Simm, Charles "Butch" Simm and Florence.

She is survived by: her children, Keith (Melissa) of New Hampshire and Leeanne (Steve) of Ontario; her brother Fraser Simm (Linda); and her sister-in-law Sandra Simm.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sydney Memorial Chapel (49 Welton St, Sydney, NS B1P5R3).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Horizon Achievement Centre in Sydney, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or Alzheimer's research.
