He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Legge and Sheila Legge; his daughter Denise Legge; his brothers, David and Allen Legge; his son-in-law Patrick Mulrooney; his brother-in-law Kenny Gallant; and his nephew Jeff Legge.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Stone; his daughter Cara Mulrooney; his stepson Danny Cluett (Crystal); his grandchildren, Leaha Mulrooney (Kalvien), Matt Aubrecht, Kenzie Gordey and Brayden Cluett; and his siblings, Joe (Margie), Michelle Birch (Kim) and Jade Gallant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the All Faith Chapel (1092 Victoria Rd, Sydney, NS B1N1L1). A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Donations in memory of Derek may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
