He was predeceased by : his parents, Laughlin MacIntyre and Effie MacIntyre (MacDonald); his brothers, Frederick 'Freddy' and Donnie; and his sister-in-law Eddie.

He is survived by : his daughters, Sarah LaCosta (Harry) and Linda Budgel (Bruce); his grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandra Budgel, Daniel, Kendall and Madison LaCosta; his great grandchildren, Harrison and Emma LaCosta; his sister Mora Estabrooks; and his brothers-in-law, Leo Carter and Benny. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins that.

Donations in memory of Donald can be made to the Union Presbyterian Church, Albert Bridge.
