He was predeceased by: his parents, Chesley Butler and Frances Butler (Gillespie); and his siblings, Ada MacQueen (Tossie), Ginger Ryan (Bob) and Chesley Butler (Carmel).

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Butler (Gregory); his children, Brandy and Dane (Jenn); his granddaughter Chaylyn; his great grandchild Kalea; and his sister Karen Pino (Gerald). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
