He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Lawrence Rigby and Sadie Cecilia Rigby (Mac Neil); his brothers, Sandy and Charles; and his son-in-law Shane Johnston.

He is survived by : his wife Valerie (Piercy); his children, Kate, Charlie (Erin) and Morgan; his sister-in-law Sharron; and his nephews, Lawrence of Sackville and Craig Rigby of Sackville.

Memorial donations, if one wishes, may be made to Palliative Care or the CB Cancer Centre.
